Description
An international investment bank seeks an Assistant Vice President, Banking - Equity Capital Markets for its New York, New York location.Duties: Participate in the origination and execution of equity transactions in the consumer, retail, industrial and real estate sectors. Perform financial modeling, initial public offering and follow-on offering precedent transaction analyses. Perform equity transaction execution, which includes preparation and review of associated documentation, transaction summaries and analytics, and coordination of internal and external processes. Prepare investor pitch related materials including pitch presentations, schedules, investor targeting and feedback, and equity pricing materials. Interpret and present daily equity market trends for clients and industry bankers. Create and build effective working relationships, leverage firm resources and, coordinate with deal team members across the investment bank including coverage, syndicate, legal, and other product teams. Leverage deal experience to train and supervise junior team members and analysts.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Business, Management, or related field and three (3) years of experience as an Analyst or Associate in the Investment Banking Industry. Must have at least three (3) years of experience with each of the following required skills: 1) Performing equity transaction modeling using balance sheet, income statement, public/transaction comparables analysis methodologies, and preparing relevant client presentation materials based on output of financial modeling; 2) Utilizing knowledge of industry and market sectors to facilitate origination and pitching of equity transactions including initial public offerings, and follow-on offerings; 3) Structuring, marketing, and executing equity offerings in close coordination with multiple coverage groups across consumer, retail, industrial and/or real estate sectors; 4) Utilizing buy-side investor analysis and targeting for equity capital raising efforts; 5) Utilizing software and analytical tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet and Dealogic, Excel and PowerPoint to produce financial analysis to corporate clients.FINRA Series 79 and 63 required.
